Glanerbrug incl. red Route 2.0

The red route extends to the Oikos district, where the starting point is also located at the corner of Helioslaan/Apollolaan. The route at Vijverstraat has been slightly modified.

Turn left into Apollolaan at the corner of Helioslaan/Apollolaan. Follow this until you reach the parking lot. Then a little to the right and left along the path into the playground. At the end of the path, turn right (Demeterlaan). At the end, cross over the bus lane to the left and then take the bicycle bridge. Go straight on Melodiestraat and then turn right onto the sidewalk. Cross the bus lane and then go right over the bridge to Germany. Go around the Gasthof Gleis and straight into the hiking path. (follow the red route). This leads to the junction, veering right along meadows and farmland. Upon reaching Gronausestraat, cross it and turn left. You will cross a bridge again with a historic information sign and simultaneously cross the Dutch border again. Then turn right into Redemptoristenpark. From there, follow the path that leads into the park and does not pass the houses. When you see the path with the sign "Access only for residents," a no-dogs sign, and a post with arrows for the hiking route, follow the arrows on the post to the right. This path leads to the railway bridge, under which you walk along the water. Keep left. Eventually, the path bends to the left along the sewage treatment plant and the sports fields. Here, you can sit for a picnic or a cup of coffee/tea. Walk along the path to Kerkstraat. Turn left here. Cross the tracks and turn left (Vijverstraat). Follow this to Pastoor Meijerstraat. Here, veer slightly to the left and immediately back to the right (Spoorbaanstraat). Go to the end of this street, cross Gronausestraat, go right, and immediately take the first left (Dr. Stamstraat). Turn left into the first street again, onto Cantatestraat, and follow the path to the right at the end of the street. Now go straight until you return to Melodiestraat. You will cross the bicycle bridge again and after the bus lane, go straight and then curve to the right. At the T-junction, veer slightly to the right and immediately to the left. Then continue along the path to Acaciastraat (continuing with the high-rise at the corner). Go right past the playground and the parking lot, keep to the left, and you will return to Apollolaan/Helioslaan.
