Groenehartstocht Gouda: Gouda cheese, city and countryside.
The cheese market of Gouda is a well-known sight and we are now there. We walk across the market to Sint Jan, famous for the Gouda glasses. At the mill, we leave the center of Gouda and shortly after arrive at the dike along the Ijssel. The meadows and cows are waiting for us. The route follows the Tiend paths, wooden dike edges, and a church path to arrive in Haastrecht. We follow a historical towing path along the Dutch Ijssel and arrive at the cheese farm De 2 Hoeven. In 2017, this cheese was awarded the tastiest farmhouse cheese. Via a path through the meadows, we reach a Tiend path that leads us over a recreation park to Gouda train station.

During the breeding season (March 15 - June 15) of the meadow breeders, the path through the meadows between Steinse Tiendweg and the cheese farm De Twee Hoeven is closed. At Steinse Groen, do not turn left onto Steinse Tiendweg, but continue straight ahead, turn left at the T-junction and continue along the path. When you reach the Goejanverwelledijk, turn left towards Haastrecht and take the first road to the right to the bridge over the Dutch IJssel in Haastrecht.
