The route goes clockwise and starts from the parking lot near Landal Rabbit Hill. First you cycle largely on free-lying cycle paths to the hamlet of Assel and climb towards Hoog-Buurlo. Via free-lying narrow asphalted cycle paths and main roads you go towards Beekbergen over slightly hilly terrain. Then you follow the asphalted towpath along the eastern bank of the Apeldoornsch Kanaal for miles.

At Laag-Soeren you leave the canal to cycle to the hill zone of the Veluwezoom, with the ascent of the Schaapsallee. Then you leave the Veluwezoom to cycle a few kilometers through the floodplains of the IJssel and along the IJssel. Then you dive back into the Veluwezoom with the climbs of:
- the Holleweg Veluwezoom,
- Zijpenberg-South,
- Emmapiramide East,
- Farmer's Alley.
At the foot of the ascent of the Boerenallee you cycle past Rosendael Castle.

Via concrete cycle paths you cycle over the Veluwe towards the Hoge Veluwe National Park. You follow the main road along the park on the east side. In the direction of Kootwijk you go via narrow asphalted cycle paths over the Buurlosche Heide and you pass a sand drift and the impressive building of Radio Kootwijk. After that you have a few kilometers left to the end point.
