A wonderful route from Den Helder along the coast, through the dunes and along the beautiful tulip fields.
From mid-March to mid-May, a large part of Holland above Amsterdam turns into one big sea of flowers. It starts in March with the crocus season. Then the daffodils and hyacinths emerge and finally the tulips show their colors, from mid-April to early May. At the end of April, our tulip fields are the most beautiful. Thanks to the long springs with cool nights, the Netherlands is extremely suitable for tulip cultivation. The soil in the polders is constantly drained. This creates ideal conditions for the tulip bulbs.
The higher you get in Holland above Amsterdam, the more impressive. Cycle or walk through the endless bulb fields, book an excursion with the family, your partner or friends and visit the greenhouses, open to the public.
