You start in the small German border village of Wylert and soon the road meanders over many viewpoints to the Ooij.
In an instant, the hills trade places with the expansive, but no less fascinating, polder landscape.
Over Beek, perfect for a short stop, it continues over some special gentle forest paths that give the feeling of hiking far outside the Netherlands, culminating in quiet and deserted German lowlands.
