Through the Fransche Kampheide, you will wander to the Gooise country estates, which are dominated by winding paths, splendid avenues, ponds, and impressive manors that once served as summer residences for distinguished families. After a visit to the visitor center of Natuurmonumenten - with a restaurant next to it - you quickly exit the forest.
The landscape along the Vecht is completely different: meadows, grazing cows, tea houses in the gardens of large estates, which were built on behalf of wealthy Amsterdam merchants. On a grassy path through the centuries-old Aetsveldse Polder, you will reach the cozy center of Weesp. Caution: The path along the Ankeveense Plassen can be muddy.
