The Pieterpad passes through the villages of Holthees, Smakt, Wanssum, and Geysteren, and you will walk along old waterways and riverbeds that the Maas has left behind here.
Also along pilgrimage sites and upon arriving in Limburg, you will see many chapels and wayside crosses in this Catholic south.
