Cretaceous Trail Day 4

Cretaceous land path, 6 September 2019.

Today we start at Hotel Restaurant Vijlerhof and come back here. The big advantage is that we leave the contents and the heaviest weight of our backpack in the hotel.

Via a run-up route we come back to the route where we overlap a small part of yesterday. In the Vijlerbosch we pass forest café 't panting Hert. It is always a hustle and bustle here, now it is still closed and therefore very quiet.

Further on we come across a pair of Scottish highlander cows. The large flock of calves are located exactly on the transition from one pasture to another. We don't see anything in between, so we go around it and brave two barbed wire fences.

After the hustle and bustle of the 3-country point, the route goes for Vaals, Landal Hoog Vaals towards Holset. Here we visit the church and enjoy the Burgundian life at Herberg Oud Holset. After some beautiful rural paths we are almost back at the Hotel. Via a beautiful path through the meadows we come out behind the Hotel.
