Following continuous roads with a bike path, you leave Heusden (near Asten) heading towards Asten and the Zuid-Willemsvaart. After that, you follow the canal along a gravel path to the height of Lierop. Then, you ride on paved paths to Lierop and the hamlet of Moorsel. Shortly before reaching the hamlet of Moorsel, you switch back to unpaved bike paths across the Strabrechtse Heide and pass many ponds (typical for this area). Finally, you reach the concrete bike path along the provincial road Heeze - Someren.

After a kilometer, you ride into the woods towards Sterksel along partially unpaved roads, and later towards the nature reserve De Vroolijke Jager. Along unpaved paths and bike paths, you ride alongside De Vroolijke Jager. After that, you ride on paved roads to the rest stop Camping de Somerweij. Over the nature reserve De Keelven (Somerensche Heide), you ride around Keelveen, partly unpaved, partly paved. You pass the forest café De Soete Inval Vennenhorst. Briefly, you follow the concrete bike path along the road Heeze - Someren, then dive back into the Strabrechtse Heide via unpaved bike paths. You ride along the largest pond in the Netherlands (the Beuven).

After leaving the heath, you ride through wooded areas, partly unpaved, and head towards Zuid-Willemsvaart. Near Someren, you cross several heavily trafficked roads and go over the viaduct over the canal. Then comes a few kilometers of gravel path along the eastern bank of the canal. Through the hamlet of Behelp, you make your way back to Heusden.

Using the same route that brought you to Heusden, you leave Heusden again. You ride towards the hamlet of Behelp on paved roads. You ride on paved roads through the forest area of Witte Bergen. Near lock 12 of the Zuid-Willemsvaart, there is again an unpaved strip along the canal. A little south of lock 13, you leave the canal and ride on the partially unpaved Zuidhoeveweg towards Ospel.

After that, you ride along the canal Noordervaart, with a long stretch of unpaved road. You leave the canal via unpaved paths through the nature reserve De Groote Moost. After several paved roads around Heibloem, you ride on an unpaved path through the nature reserve Asbroekerheide. Via paved roads, you head towards the nature reserve Waterbloem, which you cross through unpaved paths. After that, long unpaved stretches follow along the wastewater canal and along the canal of Deurne (the wooded strips along the canal of Deurne create a natural barrier in the landscape).

You cross the double canal of Deurne/Helenavaart and pass through the nature reserve Marisberg via two gravel paths. You reach the rest stop, Camping de Peelweide near Grashoek, via an unpaved path.
Then you cross the A67 and follow a gravel path to the hamlet of Helenaveen. Via unpaved roads along the Helenavaart and the canal of Deurne, you arrive in Meijel.

After that, the route heads towards the National Park de Groote Peel, along which you get various gravel paths for the bikes. The route leads through agricultural land and alongside a golf course back to Heusden.
