GroeneHartstocht Woerden Breeding season

In this walking route you will get acquainted with how green the Green Heart can still be. You walk on as many unpaved hiking trails as possible and in the middle of polder nature. During the walk it is almost impossible not to encounter meadow birds, hares, swans or other animals. If you look around you carefully, you will find other plants that bloom in the ditch sides and on the wood quays at every time of the year.

Due to the breeding season of the protected meadow birds, the path through the meadows is closed, therefore this route follows a route where you can view all this beauty from the road.
The route is 21 km long, but afterwards you can have a final drink in the Historic City Center of Woerden a short distance from the railway station.
