Ventilating in Vlissingen

A 9-kilometer walk along the boulevard and through the center of Vlissingen.

Initially intended to catch some fresh air by walking against the wind and enjoying the view over the Westerschelde.

The route starts at the NS train station.

Across the sluices and the dike (Groene Boulevard), you head towards Boulevard de Ruyter.

Walk along the beach to the Wind Organ.

After hearing and viewing the Wind Organ, you return along the boulevard towards the shopping center of Vlissingen.

From the center, you pass by the grounds of the former shipyard de Schelde.

Crossing the dike, you head back towards the train station.

Alongside the active occupation, the strategic location and wartime history of Vlissingen with casemates, bunkers, cannons, and monuments will also be discussed.

For drivers: The car can be parked at Koningsweg (the first 3 hours of parking are free).
