The mountain biking route The White Mountains is located southwest of Oirschot and leads over the Oirschotse Heide and the Landschotse Heide.

The Oirschotse Heide is a large heath and sand area, partly covered with pine trees. It is used as a military training ground by units of the Koninklijke Landmacht, Koninklijke Luchtmacht, Koninklijke Marine, and Koninklijke Marechaussee.

The Landschotse Heide belongs to the Brabants Landschap. It is also referred to as 'the Keienhurk', named after the largest pond.

Type of Route

The mountain biking route The White Mountains has two loops. The Oirschot loop is 26 kilometers long and the De Beerzen loop is 22 kilometers long. Both routes can be combined to form a distance of about 45 kilometers.

Beautiful wide avenues, stunning winding forest paths, exciting and above all surprising single tracks form the basis for this mountain biking route.
From the Oirschot loop, it is possible to combine the route with the 35-kilometer route in Veldhoven-Vessem. This allows for a section of approximately 80 kilometers (Marathon The White Mountains).

Shortcuts are indicated with the black MTB sign. The connecting route to the path in Veldhoven-Vessem is marked with wooden posts that bear the international MTB sign in green.

As an additional service, the sports hall de Kemmer in Oirschot offers mountain bikers the opportunity to take a refreshing shower after exertion.
