Of course, this route goes over the Moerputten bridge. Furthermore, the walk goes through a true jungle on a beautiful winding club path. Along the way, you will pass a large bee meadow. The start and end point is an easily accessible parking lot on the Deutersestraat.

De Moerputten is a nature reserve in the Dutch province of North Brabant, located near 's-Hertogenbosch. The 118-hectare site is one of the Natura 2000 areas and is managed by the Forestry Commission. It is one of the few remaining peat bogs south of the major rivers.

In 1890 the Langstraat railway line 's-Hertogenbosch-Lage Zwaluwe was put into operation. The railway ran through the wet peat bog area of the Moerputten, which is why two bridges were built: the Moerputten Bridge and the Venkant Bridge.

The 600-metre-long railway bridge is a magnificent example of industrial heritage from the 19th century. The huge, stately colossus consists of a riveted, iron construction that rests on 35 masonry pillars.

In 2011, the years-long renovation of the bridge was completed and now the bridge is accessible to walkers again. At the foot of the Moerputten Bridge is a floating pontoon from where you can see the famous side view of the bridge. At the bridge abutments you can find information about the history of both bridges.
