wsv NOAD has been organizing trips in collaboration with the Mondriaan Care Group in Heerlen for several years under the name: Poort van het Mergelland. This medium-distance route was organized in 2017.

This attractive route leads us to the viewpoint "Belle Vue" in Orsbach, where you have a wonderful panorama of the Limburg (hill) country at your feet.

The Gate to Mergelland is representative of the area where this route begins. From the transferium through the fields to the high-German village of Orsbach with a beautiful view at the Belle Vue restaurant over large parts of South Limburg. Then, it goes through the fields to the Boulder village of Bocholtz. We can admire the artworks of the Via Belgica before we reach the endpoint at the transferium in Simpelveld.
