Dommel path from Neerpelt to 's Hertogenbosch

This route is an adaptation of the original Dommeldalpad. This track comes by more often, near.. or over "the Dommel".

Although the Dommel springs from the vicinity of Helchteren, it is nothing more than a ditch or, rather, a set of ditches there.

At the starting point, the brook is already so wide that it is navigable with a canoe and kayak. During the walk, you will see it regularly.

Less regularly, the beaver can be spotted.

The route goes through villages and crosses all of Eindhoven from south to north. That part should not deter you, as the banks are remarkably green.

One rarely has the impression that one is walking through a large city.

It is also striking that one passes many watermills. There are not as many as before, but still...

At the endpoint, the center of 's Hertogenbosch is just a short distance further. Definitely worth the visit, and to conclude the route, you should treat yourself to a Bossche bol.
