AzureFrom/to: start at parking lot * at the bottom of the Maarsbergseweg, 3941 MK Doorn, municipality of Utrechtse Heuvelrug, The Netherlands. Free parking.
In any season, this is a beautiful walk around the built-up area of Doorn. On the south side of the more than 11 centuries old village you can enjoy a panoramic view. You will pass a former tram depot and the hamlet of Palmstad. In the higher woods you walk past a burial mound and the Doornse Kei. Finally, for a magnificent view of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug and the surrounding area, climb the watchtower in the Kaapse Bossen. Detailed information about the history of this area is given under Sights. In short, this recreational tour allows you to enjoy the many green landscapes around Doorn.
*Â Restaurants and cafes are located about 1700 meters from the parking lot in the center of Doorn.
