43% of the route goes over unpaved roads (mainly gravel roads) and you follow it clockwise starting and finishing in Baexem at the church.

You first cycle towards the nature reserve Asbroekerheide with some gravel roads, then you ride through Leudal with gravel roads and well-rideable forest paths. Upon reaching Nunhem, you cycle towards Buggenum mostly on unpaved roads (partly gravel roads) and then you ride over gravel roads through the floodplains of the Maas.

The route then goes to Haelen, passing by Aldenghoor Castle and then you cycle over many gravel roads towards Horn and through Beegder Heide to Lange Vlieter, a water body of the Maas. First, you go over a gravel road right along the water in a western direction, and you return along the Lange Vlieter over the elevated asphalted bike path. Via a gravel road and a piece of narrow path that is part of a mountain biking route, you reach Exatenbos which you cross via a gravel road. And then you cross the valley of the Haelense Beek via a beautiful gravel road.

You are left with 3 gravel stretches, one through agricultural land, the next crosses the valley of the Tungelroyse Beek, and the last stretch goes through Landgoed Beijlshof.
