Burgh-Haamstede - Tour of Westenschouwen-Koudekerken

After departure you will soon have a beautiful view of the Oosterscheldekering... from the sea side.
A little while after the "passing" of the N57 a nice view of the Oosterschelde storm surge barrier, but now from the "inside" (=Oosterschelde side). A little further from the dike at Burghsluis you will see the Zeeland Bridge in the east (like a thin "ribbon"). To the left of the Zeeland Bridge in the distance, that "stubborn" tower? ... is located in Zierikzee.
After Burghsluis we cycle on to the Plompetoren of the drowned village of Koudekerke. In the tower an exhibition of the Association of Natural Monuments. We then cycle to Haamstede, where we get off at Slot Haamstede. Then again by bike through Burgh with destination the forest and dune area of Westenschouwen. Cycling down a hill, we suddenly get a view over the sea. There is a possibility to park the bicycles here (at your own risk) to take a walk on the beach. Then back to the Departure Point, with enough Horeca... for pampering :-).
Besides; did you come across a deer? ... or a crossing dune?... A crossing dune?... Yes, a crossing dune! ... Just might !!
