Routing Shortest - OSM
Along one of the many burial mounds that can still be found in the Netherlands. Many have disappeared over the thousands of years due to destruction, excavation, or erosion.
This mound dates back to the Bronze Age, when a ditch was also dug around the mound, hence the term "ring burial mound." According to local information, the age of this mound is indicated as 7000 BC, while others suggest it should be 2500 BC.
At that time, the body of the deceased or the ashes after cremation were placed in such a burial site.
