Van Gogh cycle route Nuenen

Vincent van Gogh lived and worked in Nuenen from December 1883 to November 1885. His stay in Nuenen is considered one of the most important and productive periods in his life. With great effort he made 194 paintings in Nuenen, including 'The Potato Eaters', 313 drawings, 25 watercolours and 19 letter sketches.

In addition, Nuenen itself and its surroundings form a collection in itself. No fewer than 23 buildings and landscapes have a direct relationship with Vincent's two-year stay in Nuenen. Of those 23 objects, 14 were painted or drawn by him, one or more times. The Van Gogh cycle route runs along this living collection.

How does the Van Gogh cycle route work?
The Van Gogh cycle route is set out via the Brabant junction system. Under each junction sign you will find a Van Gogh cycle route sign. Simply follow the Van Gogh cycle route signs from one numbered junction to another. Between the nodes you follow the signage of the junction system.
