Starting points : The three detours can start at junction 54 (on the corner of Nieuwstraat and St. Janstraat) in Baarle-Nassau. Near junction 54 is the Loswal car park and the bus stop for buses to Breda, Tilburg and Turnhout. Ommetje Zondereigen can also start at junction 24 at the St. Rumoldus church in Zondereigen.

Ommetje Zondereigen (BOOTS RECOMMENDED) lets you experience the strong influence of streams on their environment. Noordermark and Merkske determined where people settled and how they arranged the landscape. Beyond the Vorsterschoor, the Merkske forms the Belgian-Dutch border. As a result, it was allowed to continue meandering. The Vorsterschoor is one of the old bridges to reach Dutch meadows on the south side of the Merkske. In the past, people used to swim in the stream pits of the Merkske after haying. The Nature and Forest Agency has dug out some of them.
