Ottestad is a village in the county of Innlandet, Norway. It is located in the municipality of Stange, and is adjacent to Hamar. The densely populated northern parts of Ottestad constitute one of the suburbs of Hamar. About 6.000 people live in Ottestad, which is approximately one third of the total population of Stange.
Ottestad is also a family name in Norway taken by the farmers and their children at the Ottestad farm. The name is a protected surname in Norway seeing that fewer than 200 people have it.
