AzureThe Briksdalsbreen is one of the most famous glaciers in this area and is part of the Jostedalbreen. After completing the hike from the Briksdalsbre Fjellstove we note that it is probably also the most visited glacier. From early in the morning, buses full of tourists, mostly from cruise ships, drop people off at the starting point. Here they can choose to complete the walk entirely on foot or a large part of it with the help of a Troll Shuttle.
The walk starts quite steep, but then becomes flatter. While crossing one of the bridges along the way you can get quite wet because of the splashing water. Highly recommended to walk. At the entrance of the restaurant there are pictures of how the glacier has developed over the years.
