Wieliczka Salt Mine

The things you can see in the mine of Wieliczka are very peculiar. It includes carved statues in salt representing historic and mythical figures.

The crystals of the chandeliers hanging in the mine are also made from rock salt that has been dissolved and reconstituted to achieve a clear, glass-like appearance.

There is also a large cathedral carved out in th emine. The Wieliczka mine is often referred to as "the Underground Salt Cathedral of Poland." It has a reception room that can be reserved for private functions such as weddings or private parties.

There is also an underground lake.
