Gmina Tarnów Opolski, German Gemeinde Tarnau is a rural gmina in Opole County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. Its seat is the village of Tarnów Opolski , which lies approximately 15 kilometres south-east of the regional capital Opole.
The gmina covers an area of 81.6 square kilometres , and as of 2019 its total population is 9,580. Since 2007 the commune, like much of the area, has been officially bilingual in German and Polish, a large German population having remained in the area after it was transferred to Polish control.
