The Monument to the Bimillenarian Existence of the City of Braga, known as the "Perpetual Movement" , was inaugurated and erected on June 24, 2000 by the Braga City Council on the occasion of the 2000th anniversary of the foundation of Bracara Augusta.
It is located on the Cividade hill, as this is one of the most important sites and where most traces from the Roman period can be found.
The concrete monument, designed by artist and sculptor Pedro Cabrita Reis, represents a replica of a Roman aqueduct consisting of three round arches supported by three pillars, each pillar with two round and rectangular columns arranged in an irregular manner.
