Skurugata Nature Reserve

Skurugata Nature Reserve bypass. Starting point Ägersgöl 4, 57592 Hult, where there is plenty of parking space. The circular walk takes us through the gorge of Skurugata. Sturdy footwear is certainly necessary, but the walk is not really technically difficult. For everyone who is good on their feet, it is certainly doable. First you descend into the gorge where it gets cooler and fresher on a hot summer day. Then you ascend again from the gorge and continue the road to the viewpoint Skuruhatt.
The gorge of Skurugata is considered one of the most remarkable natural phenomena in southern Sweden. 800 meters long, between 7 and 24 meters wide and in some places up to 35 meters high. There are still places in southern Sweden where you will find similar gorges, but SKURUGATA is the most impressive. The long-distance trail "Höglandsleden" also passes through this gorge.
