Ram Narong Gate was a large entrance built at the southeast inner wall of this historic town. The entrance was framed with large blocks of laterite. There was a laterite road connected this entrance with a rectangular fortress which surrounded by the town ditches and a defensive reservoir.
The inner walls were built of rectangular blocks of laterite, and bounded on the edges by earthen ramparts and ditches respectively. The northeastern wall was parallel to the Yom River. It was about 2.20 meters wide and 800 meters long. The southeastern wall was about 2.20 meters wide, 5.10 meters high and 780 meters long. A defensive ditch at the under edge of this wall was about 1.50 meters wide. The northwestern wall was about 770 meters long. The southwestern wall was the longest. It was about 1.80 meters wide and 1,070 meters long.
