The 239 meters long and 20 meters deep caves was discovered by Mr Samlee Khuha in 1972. The small two meter wide entrance leads into several well decorated moderate sized passages and chambers. The deepest points in the cave to the left of the entrance contain high levels of CO2. A cave named after the second tier of the Dewa heavens and part of the Sensuous World, reckoned from the earth. Dawadungsa was located above the peak of Mount Meru the center of the universe and is the place where the God Indra resides.
