Wat Tha It was constructed in 1761. Initially this site was a brick production and distribution center as well as a port (landing) for the construction of Wat Khun Intha Pramun. After the completion of the construction of Wat Khun Intha Pramun a temple was built on the site and called Wat Tha It (Monastery of the brick landing).
The principal Buddha image in the ordination hall is called Luang Pho Phet, while the one in the praying hall was called Luang Pho Khao. Luang Pho Khao dates back to the Ayutthaya Era and was once enshrined in Wihan Maha-Ut. The temple features a gilded stupa called Phra That Chedi Sri Pho Thong.
