Wat Chang Rop is situated outside the city wall to the west in the Aranyik or forest temple area near Wat Aranyik and Wat Khao Phra Bat Noi. This temple consists of a main bell-shaped chedi on a square base decorated with 24 sculptures of elephants, an ordination hall in front of the main chedi and five subordinate chedis around the main chedi and the ordination hall.
