The river is fed by the Khlong Tha Dan Reservoir which releases water via the Khun Dan Prakan Chon Dam. The river flows southwest and passes the districts Mueang Nakhon Nayok, Ban Na and Ongkharak of Nakhon Nayok Province. The Nakhon Nayok River joins the Prachin Buri River to become the Bang Pakong River in Ban Sang district, Prachinburi Province at Pak Nam Yothaka. The river is 130 kilometers long.
