Khung Wiman Beach

It is a famous beach in Chanthaburi Province, possessing pure water, peaceful atmosphere which is suitable for relaxation. The beach is located at Amphoe Naya-am and about 15 kilometers off the city. From north to the middle of the beach, it is pleasurable for swimming because there are pure water, cozy restaurants, resorts and lodgings. However, these accommodations in this beach are not so many as in Chao Lao Beach. Fishing area is in the north and south owing to the rocks.

Along the beach street of Khung Wiman Beach or Chalerm Burapha Chonlatit in official name is the most beautiful street of the east.

Both of Koong Kraben Bay and Lam Sing Beach are seaside and mountain with not many resorts between the seaside and mountain. The road is curved as the mountain shape and the sea passing many of view point such as Lamson Beach, Chantaburi estuary, Nuen Nangpaya View Point. This street is recommended by Tourism Authority of Thailand as Ten Dream destinations for travelling there.

Chalerm Burapha Chonlatit Street is a two-lane road, the total distance of which is 111 kilometers. The old main road was extended to connect with the new one. The street is extended by Department of Rural Roads in Ministry of Transport covering from Chonburi Province, Laem Maephim in Rayong Province, Chanthaburi Province to Trat Province as a scenic route and as to decrease usage of private cars on Sukhumvit Road.

Moreover, Chalerm Burapha Chonlatit is suitable for driving and riding bicycle for admiring its scenic view. There is a bicycle way on the pavement of which painting is red. The most prominent of Chalerm Burapha Chonlatit Road is at in the south of Khung Wiman Beach to a hill as well known in the name of Nuen Nang Phaya scenic point. On the top of the scenic point, tourists will see the street along the beach at the bottom and a small island off the coast. [Source: TAT]
