Izmir was the setting for one of the most spectacular finals of a cycling race ever. Leading actor was Belgian professional cyclist Iljo Keisse from Ghent. It's april 29 2012. In the 7th stage of the Tour of Turkey 2012, Iljo Keisse jumps away from the leading group a few kilometers before the end and takes a few seconds. He falls 2 km before the finish. But he keeps his cool and jumps back on the bike. But then his chain falls off. Again he keeps his cool. He calmly puts his chain on his blade. And runs off again. A storming, sprinting platoon approaches... "Come on Keisse for goodness sake!"
