This trail leads to Barafu Camp or Barafu Hut at 4646m altitude.
From Karanga Camp we are at over 4000m and thus in the bare alpine desert area where there is no vegetation. The road is dusty and full of gravel. It looks like a lunar landscape. On a clear day, you'll have a nice view of its nearest neighbor, Mount Meru.
The climb to Barafu Hut is quite hard because it comes at the end of the day and altitude is already starting to play an important role in terms of oxygen levels .
