A bottle of Chardonnay of Chateau Montelena is on display in the Smithsonian Institute. The Chateau Montelena winery became famous in the historic "Judgement of Paris" wine competition of 1976. There, for the first time, a non-French wine was selected as best wine of the world. That wine was a Chardonnay from Chateau Montelena from the Napa Valley. It was a revolution in the wine industry.
