Boston City Hall is the home of the municipal government of Boston. City Hall is a 9-level, horizontally-oriented brutalist building designed by Kallmann McKinnell & Knowles. It is rectangular in plan, but is an inverted pyramid in elevation. The masterplan for Government Center was designed by I.M. Pei, who also designed the Louvre Pyriamid in Paris.
This building has also been used in many movies, such as Martin Scorsese''s Oscar winning the Departed with Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson.
