Manassas was big news in 1993 when Lorena Bobbitt severed her husbands (John Wayne Bobbitt) penis with a knife after a spousal rape.
They could re-attach the penis, and mister Bobbit could even use his 'equipment' in porn movies such as "Bobbitt uncut" and "Frankenpenis".
There is even a worm (Eunice aphroditois) named after Bobbitt: the Bobbittworm. The reason is that it was believed that the female worm bites off the penis of the male worm to feed it to the offspring. Although the name is still popular, it is not correct, because the worms are hermaphrodite.
