KQQZ is a radio station broadcasting a talk and classic country format. Licensed to Fairview Heights, Illinois, United States, it serves the St. Louis area. The station is currently owned by Entertainment Media Trust, Dennis J. Watkins, Trustee.
KQQZ has a construction permit to change nighttime power to 650 watts using a two-tower directional antenna; daytime power would remain at 10,000 watts using a five-tower directional antenna. The station broadcasts with a pattern to the southwest, to protect other stations broadcasting on or near 1190 in neighboring states, as well to protect Class-A clear-channel stations KEX in Portland, Oregon, and XEWK-AM in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, at night. The station was formerly licensed to DeSoto, Missouri.
