Edward B. Shallow Junior High also known as I.S.227 is an intermediate school located in Brooklyn, New York City, at 6500 16th Avenue and 65th Street in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn. Shallow has a variety of guest programs, including, actors, artists, government officials and others. Brenda Champion became Shallow's principal in 2005, replacing Roberto Benitez. Debra Robbins is the assistant principal of the Renaissance academy. Joseph Napolitano is the assistant principal of American Experience. JoAnn Bramante is the A.P of environmental studies. Shallow is named after the late Edward B. Shallow, a former New York City Department of Education Associate Superintendent. The building has 4 floors and was built in 1929.
