G-Star School of the Arts

G-Star High School of the Arts for Film, Animation and Performing Arts is a public charter no-tuition high school located in West Palm Beach, Florida, founded by Greg Hauptner in 2003. G-Star is a fully accredited high school employing State of Florida certified teachers offering complete college-ready Sunshine State Standards academics plus the International Baccalaureate World School Programme. G-Star is also a Film, 3-D Animation/Visual Effects/Gaming/Coding, and live performance acting high school. The school is located on the back lot of a commercial motion picture studio, the G-Star Studios. The school has 900 students.

G-Star is an "A" rated high school and is designated a "High Performing High School" by the Florida Department of Education. The average graduation rate is 98% with 97% going on to their college of choice. All students take Art classes as well as their Academic classes. G-Star offers a complete college preparatory education with Honors classes, Advanced Placement classes , Collegiate Dual Enrollment classes , and the International Baccalaureate World School Programme , headquartered in Switzerland and facilitated by our IB Department. The US News & World Report named G-Star to their "Best High Schools in America" ratings and The Washington Post honored G-Star as "The Most Challenging High Schools in America." America's Best High Schools-Niche.com awarded G-Star "The Best College Prep High Schools in America" and "Best Arts High Schools in America." The Raindance Film Festival, London , named G-Star "The Number One High School for Film in the World." The school also trains students in Writing, Directing, Producing, Acting and all aspects of film and TV production in front of the camera and behind the camera.
