Description by the author

Bryce Canyon National Park is a strikingly small, but enchantingly beautiful park. It may be the little brother of the more famous Grand Canyon, but it is not inferior to it. The most famous attraction are the so-called hoodoos: natural pillars that turn from soft yellow to bright orange in the sun. As with the other nature parks in the Southwest, you can follow a comfortable path on the outskirts. Nevertheless, we recommend putting on the hiking boots and descending into the gorge. In this way we walk between the hoodoos and see it from a different perspective each time.

We combine two hikes: Queens Garden Trail and Navajo Loop Trail. That way we see the best of what Bryce Canyon has to offer. It is enjoyable during the beautiful walk along fairytale rock formations. Behind every bend, a surprising view of the magnificent landscape awaits. The ochre-colored rocks look even more beautiful under the steel-blue sky. The trees grow here in the most impossible places and give a contrast with the rugged environment. It is truly indescribably beautiful here.

For those who think that walking between orange rocks will get boring, we have only one answer: absolutely not! Each national park has a characteristic landscape. For example, the visibility is determined by the age of the canyon. Bryce Canyon is relatively young: that's why there are still many rocks standing. In the next phase, weather, wind and water further eroded the rocks: see Grand Canyon. When this process continues, we get an arid and flat landscape like Canyonlands.

Bryce Canyon National Park, like nearby Arches, is an absolute must and leaves a strong impression.
