TVM-2026

This group covers the 7 stages of the fantastic 7-day hiking tour 'Tour Valls de la Marina' (TVM) in the heart of the Marina Alta in Valencia, Spain. The TVM is organized by a local group of enthusiastic people with the aim of introducing hikers to the natural beauty of the Marina Alta, as well as its rich heritage and cultural life. The organizers assist hikers in finding comfortable accommodations and delicious meals in small but cozy hotels and rural guesthouses at the end of each stage, and also take care of luggage transport. We hiked the TVM from March 13 to 19, 2026, and enjoyed it immensely. In principle TVM can be done in 6 days, however, stage 3 is hard and long and is best split in two stages with an overnight in Fageca. Anyway, a good physical condition is required due to the length and elevation changes of each stage. The hike follows old, historic paths that are partially paved, but mostly not. Walking can be challenging in places due to loose stones on steep paths, which is not uncommon throughout Spain. But, TVM takes you through impressive canyons and over marvelous mountains and crests enabling views over a large territory. The natural vegetation is rich and splendid when blooming. Mind you that the TVM is not organized during July and August because of the summer heat. Springtime is an ideal period because of the blooming natural vegetation in the area.
