Routes and places linked to a recent route but already a classic: the Great Stones Way. The Great Stones Way is an extension of The Ridgeway , one of England's official long-distance trails. This route was already traveled 5000 years ago. The new extension passes the famous stone circles such as Avebury and Stonehenge and prehistoric sites such as Silbury Hill (Neolithic monument) and Durrington Wall (Neolithic settlement).
