Guillermo Perera Lvarez lived from 1865 to 1926.

Bust of the poet was made by sculptor Miguel M rquez Pe ate (1911-1975) and was inaugurated on January 27, 1952 in the Plaza del Adelantado.

It is said about Guillermo Perera that he was a good and modest man.
