Built in 1230, on the remains of the Romanesque abbey, the church is built in the pure Gothic style. At the end of the 12th century, the archbishop of Reims plans to create a bishopric in Mouzon. The choir of the church will then be demolished to build a bigger, more beautiful, more slender one, because the "First Gothic Art" is about to supplant the Romanesque art. After a violent fire in 1212, the architect in charge of the reconstruction will play the consistency by reusing these principles of the "First Gothic Art". In 1852, new restorations were carried out by Emile Boeswillwald, a contemporary of Viollet Le Duc, including the destruction of the great flamboyant glass roof. In 1918, it escaped the fire caused by the Germans during their retreat. To discover :- Christophe Moucherel's organs dating from 1725. They are classified as Historical Monuments just like the Abbey of Notre Dame. - A curiosity: the small opening 60 cm high and a few centimetres wide in the north wall of the chapel of St Joan of Arc... It is the dwelling of the recluse.
