This is a most amazing and beautiful walk from the second highest to the highest peak of Madeira and back. The only spoiler on the walk are the masses of people doing the walk at the same time. The walk is following the crest of the ridge between the two summits and goes up and down steeply most of the time. In total some 1000 elevation meters are to be climbed. However, the views are extremely spectacular and certainly worth the effort. On the path there are 5 tunnels. At least 3 of them require a light to get through safely.
