Walking Route - the most beautiful

La Pared can be reached from Costa Calma at the beginning of the Jandia peninsula. The village itself has no sights, but a walk along the flower-lined Carretera del Istmo with various artworks is pleasant. There are a couple of café-bars where you can eat or drink something. At the end of the paved road, there are several options to continue walking.
For beach lovers, you can descend via steps. Swimming is absolutely prohibited here due to strong undercurrents. Back at the end of the asphalt road, the walk goes right towards the ocean. Along the way, one walks past a protected area with arid vegetation. The goal is the hut of the first aid post. In the meantime, views of the southern part of the west coast.

The path continues northward, along the edge of the plateau. After a short while, the excellent Punta de Guadalupe plateau can be seen in the sea. An opening beneath the plateau is repeatedly filled with seawater every time a wave rolls in. Further along, the walk descends from the plateau to Barranco La Pared, a green valley.

Down below, one arrives at the beach Playa La Pared. At low tide, it is possible to walk along the beach and at the end climb over some rocks to get closer to the opening beneath Punta de Guadalupe.
A path climbs up just behind the striking rock Punta de Guadalupe. After a minute, one has a view of the opening where the seawater crashes against the rocks.
If you continue a bit further, you reach the edge of the small plateau and have a view of the northern part of the west coast.
The walk returns to the beach Playa La Pared. Now you head toward the restaurant with fencing. Right next to the fencing, you come to a parking lot. From here, the walk continues along the little-used road until you reach the parking space again at the beginning of La Pared.

If you walk the route in the opposite direction, you need to climb more from Barranco La Pared to the plateau.
