Forest Lake Path

The Skovsøstien trail starts at the former forestry botanical facility Arboretet, where tree species from other parts of the world are located. Along the way, you will pass through varied woods and by several beautiful forest lakes. The two largest lakes are Store Grankule and Duedalsvand.

Midway along the route, you will hit the Orkanstien and follow this through the Orkanskoven, a beech forest that has remained untouched since it fell during the hurricane in 1967. You can follow the Orkanstien to Rytterknægten if you wish to extend your hike.

The route is primarily a footpath directly on the forest floor. It is marked with blue pictograms as well as blue dots on trees/stones. Given the conditions of Bornholm, it is a relatively flat route. There are two stairs at the steepest points near Duedal.
