El Museo Austriaco de Artes Aplicadas de Viena[1] es un histórico y prestigioso museo de artes decorativas, situado en Stubenring número 5 en Viena.[2] Fue fundado en 1863 como "Museo de arte e industria".Desde 1986 se han ampliado las colecciones de obras de diversos movimientos artísticos y arquitectónicos. En 1993 el museo fue renovado y ampliado; las salas han sido renovadas y diseñadas de acuerdo a los conceptos de diferentes artistas.El museo presentas muebles y accesorios que van desde la época medieval hasta la época contemporánea , así como maquetas de famosos edificios diseñados por arquitectos contemporáneos.El museo, construido en 1871, ha sido iluminado por las noches desde 2004 por la instalación permanente al aire libre "MAKlite" del artista internacional de land art James Turrell.
